you may know that i have an affinity for baby slings/carriers--and not even for looks, but because truly they are the key to sanity and getting anything done (even more so with two to chase!). both theo and nellie have loved being worn, and nellie has pretty much always spent part of her day in one sling or another. for our california trip, i borrowed my first structured carrier, an ergo, from my friend lisa, knowing full well the danger of falling in love with it (which i promptly did for its comfort and ease in carrying an older baby). when it came time to return it, i started shopping for a gently used ergo and hit a gold mine on craigslist with a woman who was selling her brand new beco butterfly carrier, a similar but even pricier model, for less than the cost of a used ergo. i LOVE LOVE LOVE my beco, and use it daily at the park, the grocery store, to weed, everywhere! in a fire, it might be the first thing i'd save after my children. =)
