christmas eve

christmas eve with the johnsons is full of tradition and laughter and is certainly one of my very favorite days of the year. to make things even more complete, mike's sister tiffany and her new fiance pj were home from colorado. we had a fun make-your-own pizza dinner with family and friends--the catholic types went to Mass at a lovely rural church--and then we all attended the candlelight service as mike's family's church in bondurant. per our routine, the "kids" slept under the christmas tree, falling asleep watching "its a wonderful life." thank goodness pj goes along with all of this ritual, otherwise we might not let him stick around on a more permanent basis! that grandma johnson knows how to throw a real festive party! and look, auntie sadie, here we are enjoying your annual christmas eve book!
