blessedly, our little people traveled fabulously--really great sports. a highlight for theo was riding the outside tram at the airport (see pic)--a bit like a train, he supposed. they even slept some of the 2nd flight...but by the time we were able to climb into bed, they were quite out of sorts in terms of sleep. after a brief period of rest, maybe a couple hours, together they decided that it was just plain time to start the new day. it's a really good thing we are on vacation and could just roll with it. theo was also pretty unsure about sleeping on an unfamilar "big boy" bed that, as a pullout couch, was much bigger than he was used to, but today he discovered himself that if you fold the bed in without the mattress, a pretty comfy bed is to be found there (and it is inclined to prevent falling out as well!)--so both of them took long naps and had big meals from grammy the short order cook--and now we think we're on track again, both sleeping peacefully as i type...
