after attending the hy-vee triathlon last summer and having a ball, there was no way we were missing it this year. it's a big deal--the elite level olympic-distance event is televised nationally, and they have an age group event that had 2200 athletes this year. the four of us saw the men's elite race on saturday afternoon, and then just theo and i went back on sunday morning to cheer on a couple friends who were competing. the highlight for him might have been the shuttle bus rides, but we totally loved every minute--can't wait til next year!
